About

My name is Cosette and I'm an urban Pagan and a social media and pop culture junkie.

I started blogging several years ago with AOL Journals. I began blogging because I enjoy exploring new technologies and communities. I blogged to share, discover, and process information on my favorite topics: culture and religion.

I was born in Havana, Cuba in 1977, emigrated with my family to the United States on the Mariel boatlift in 1980, and grew up in Miami. My education is in English, Women’s Studies, and Religious Studies. I’m passionate about culture, spirituality, and social justice. I’m also a big lover of social media, online communities, and virtual worlds. I’ve worked as the Social Networking Coordinator for Cherry Hill Seminary and helped build the Pagan Newswire Collective.  On WordPress, I blog about my Australian adventures at Stumble Down Under. My blog Second Mode is about the virtual world Second Life and I’m an enthusiastic user of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Flickr, and Tumblr. I’m gratefully employed by the Metaverse Mod Squad, which provides client and customer support for online communities and virtual worlds.

I still blog mostly about culture and religion, particularly Paganism from a Wiccan perspective. I'm an initiate of the Georgian Wicca tradition and an uninitiated daughter of Ogun. I'm in a wonderful coven and am a member of the Everglades Moon Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess. When I'm not working or playing in the metaverse, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, and exploring the world.

I love hearing from people so if you’ve got a comment or question, contact me. I love comments so feel free to leave them; you can review my comment policy here.
