Mabon Anniversary

It's hard to believe my coven is nine years old!

Mabon marked our anniversary and we celebrated with friends from the broader Pagan community. The ritual was simple and included a lot of the eclectic elements that have become standard hallmarks of our coven's practice. For instance, we tend to favor street clothes over robes, hand-to-hand circle casting, and inspired invocations over traditional, learned calls. We invited our patron deities Brigid and the Green Man and burned some stuff as we often do. Since Mabon is a ritual of thanksgiving, we gave thanks. I only spoke one gratitude, but I have a lot to be thankful for lately:

  • my family who is supportive and accepting of most of my crazy
  • my wonderful beau
  • my college advisor
  • my Pagan community
  • the general abundance in my life
  • good health
  • a job I enjoy

Happy Mabon!
