It happened last February. I was in California attending PantheaCon when it occurred to me that this time next year would be a good time to travel to Australia. Most of the flights go through Los Angeles so it seemed reasonable to fly out while I was already nearby. Just to make sure, I went to Mary K. Greer for a tarot reading.
She gave me the option between the Rider Waite and Blake decks. I chose the Blake because I am unfamiliar with it. I kinda wish I'd chosen the Rider Waite because I might remember the cards now, but no matter. The reading was very positive. Mary was delightful and gushed about Australia, saying I would love it and adding that if she could make her life over, she’d do it in Australia. It was settled then.
I came home after PantheaCon and bought my round-trip ticket to Melbourne, Australia. The return flight is three months after arrival, but who knows what will happen. I may come home sooner or I may stay indefinitely.
